A few quick points about coming up with startup ideas from my experience (I’m still learning about this as I go):
1/ Start with proven, well-known frameworks — there’s a reason why things like Ikigai are considered as a useful framework by many folks (i.e. finding overlapping areas among what you’re good at and enjoy, what’s meaningful for you, what the world needs)
2/ Balance is a keyword: Find balance between “external” (talking with others) and “internal” (thinking and internalizing). It’s nearly impossible to come up with great ideas in a vacuum; ideas come from talking to other people and bouncing off ideas with each other. But this should be balanced with internal thinking where you internalize the conversations with others and set up your own rock solid thesis; otherwise you’d sway from left to right all the time, depending on who you speak to
3/ Another important balance is between hard thinking and resting your brain. Keep in mind Newton found gravity while sitting under a tree (resting). He didn’t just rest all the time and find one of the greatest findings of science by chance; also he didn’t keep using his brain to the point where the brain wasn’t functioning any more. A lot of people say the healthy balance between research/thinking and resting (such as going on a long walk) is a great formula for coming up with great ideas
