This story by Guy Kawasaki (shared in a podcast long time ago) always stuck with me.
When he was 20, he really wanted to succeed one day and become a guy who drives a Porsche.
20 years later, he did become a successful professional who drives a Porsche.
One day he had a chance to visit his alma mater and give a talk; someone asked a question, “Now that you’ve built a successful career, what do you want to be now?”
He thought about it some, and his answer surprised even himself.. He wanted to become a 20 year old college student again! When you’re 20, possibilities are limitless and you can be anything.
The grass is always greener on the other side. Today’s you might be the person the younger version of you wanted to become one day.
