Recently, I met some smart people who I know are better than me in many, many ways, but are stuck in corporations, doing routine work.
If their brains are V12 engines, my brain would be a motorcycle engine 🙂 They’re younger, smarter, and even better looking than me.
But many of them come to me for advice and mentoring. Makes me think – why me? Why would someone with a V12 brain come to me, an old guy who doesn’t even remember what he ate for breakfast, for advice?
The only thing I think I did that they didn’t do was take a risk.
Taking a risk certainly doesn’t automatically guarantee success, nor should it be something everyone can or should do.
But if you feel you’re stuck in life and yearning to get unstuck, the only way to do so is to take a risk.
