According to this video, most people think 3x their current wealth and income will make them truly happy, regardless of their current wealth/income.
That means $10/hour wage workers want $30/hour pay, a billionaire want to reach $3 billion, etc. Quite fascinating. Explains why many successful and wealthy people aren’t happy.
The easy “right answer” here would be “just be content with what you have”, which we should all practice, but the reality is we’re all greedy humans. So then how about wanting something more attainable?
If you’re driving a Civic, how about having a Civic Type-R (which I think is a freakishly good car) as the next dream car, instead of a Bentley? Chances are, you work hard and you might actually get it, not too far down the road.
