Alright, I think it’s game over now:
- Google and OpenAI (+io) in the two-horse race for consumer AI. It’s remarkable how OpenAI turned from model focus (= zero switching cost, moat-less) to consumer products focus in such a short amount of time
- Meta: At this point it’s all about the glasses/AR ads market IMO. $60bn invested in AR so far is nothing compared to owning significant part of the global ads market in the next medium. Guess how much of Meta’s revenue comes from ads? A whopping 97.8%
- Anthropic: B2B focus + Sonnet for developers + some usage by Amazon
- MS: “It’s OK, we own OpenAI shares”
- XAI: unhinged model + continued angry discussions can be an interesting flywheel/loop
- Apple: new rose gold color for the next iPhone! (ie. stuck in 2017)
