It’s great to see some “old” founders getting back into building new companies. I won’t tag them here, but I know at least three of my close connections (all 45+ in age) who built companies in the Web 1.0 era, who are now starting new AI application companies.
Why? Because they know how to build companies and businesses. Anyone can build a product using vibe coding tools and APIs these days, but sometimes it takes more than just shipping a product — someone has to talk to customers, applying experience and doain expertise.
Selfishly, I’m glad I’m not the only “old” person doing another zero-to-one startup. To all the experienced builders out there: come join us. The water’s warm in AI applications land!
